I am definitely feeling the jitters. Only one official week of vacation left, however I have meetings one of those days and want to get in and start working on my classroom for another. So I am actually starting the countdown!

I know right? Usually by this time I'm ready to go back but our summer school this year went halfway into July-so I've really only had one month and some of that was spent in pd. This year I'd love another month! :)
ReplyDeleteWe go back in a week, too. Only thing is I won't be able to get into my classroom until three days before we start. And I don't yet know which room will be mine, even. But I suppose, as long as I have learners in my room, there can be learning. Right?...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love the idea of a Wizard of Oz theme!!! We got unofficial word that our bonuses will be based on test scores this year, and it really is terrifying! And I definitely agree about not taking everything so seriously!

I love your new classroom theme and I'm sure your new students will love them too. I would be really nervous about the test scores linking to evaluations too! I'm sure your kiddos will do great though!
