Character Perspectives

Every year I ask my students to dress up as a literary character for Halloween and present a little speech to their parents from the perspective of that character. The kids write the lines themselves and we practice at school, so it's a surprise for their parents.I had almost 90% of the families represented, which is a great turnout for a weekday morning!

This one was my favorite, I wish I could steal the costume to wear when I read the book to the kids-how fun would that be!
