Cinderella Details

One of the things I love to do as a challenge to my munchkins, is ask them to change a pretty significant detail in a story and then think about how that story would change. Sometimes it doesn't change very much-if Charlotte's Web didn't take place on a farm, the basic story line would still stand, just maybe different animals that it happened to. If Too Many Tamales took place on Easter, not much would change. Now what if Cinderella never lost her shoe? That might significantly change the outcome. Now this activity was difficult for some of them. Some took it more as explaining why she didn't lose her shoe-like it was glued on. :) But many of them did get it.
