In fact, I made cards with some categories and words already picked out. (At the end of the day my brain is fried and thinking of categories then could be challenging.) I would love to share it with others so their students could get the benefit of your great idea as well. Would you mind if I posted it on my blog if I gave the credit to you?

Email me and let me know, please!

Colleen Patton
colleen.patton115@gmail.com
http://pattonspatch.blogspot.com/Mrs. Pattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18106748358220555004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8708538586034027731.post-37974435654801578762011-02-05T13:54:06.060-08:002011-02-05T13:54:06.060-08:00Thank you for your comment! I actually sat down with a children's dictionary and just made a list of words I thought it would help the kids to know but that they probably didn't. I also will preview the literature I'm using for the week and pull words from there.

The quotes I find online. Most are about creativity, generosity, friendship, nature, imagination-I look up artists, scientists, writers. It's hard to find some that don't go over their heads, but most of the time they can connect it to an experience they had or someone they know. Hope that helps!Miss Trayershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07994698870486768685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8708538586034027731.post-39460192127008689022010-07-27T07:57:58.181-07:002010-07-27T07:57:58.181-07:00I am also a kindergarten teacher and I struggle to...I am also a kindergarten teacher and I struggle to get everything in each day I love your word a day and quotes a day.
