I have written about my love of using open-ended questions before. I have worked with colleagues who don't like them-harder to grade, more time-consuming to think of. But I love being able to see my kiddos apply what they have learned. I love challenging them to think beyond just choosing choice a, b or c.
We talked about Dr. King this week and the Civil Rights Movement. So I added 2 questions on their weekly assessment. Can you tell they learned what I wanted them to?
